It seemed certain that the top two were to progress to the Last 32, and so it turned out. However Joshua's Power Rangers tried hard to eliminate themselves... with 3rd placed Sutty's Competition without a game on final day, only a defeat by 9 or more goals for Rangers would see Competition go through on goal difference. Rangers were stuffed by lowly Sid Waddells' Flan Club - but a 7-1 defeat is still enough to see them through alongside Suttys Eleven.
