Robinho earns Bad Boy Bonus

Man City's Robinho becomes the second recipient this season of the coveted NightmareSoccer Bad Boy Bonus. The Brazilian was arrested on January 27th in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a nightclub in Leeds. It is reported that a spokesman for the midfielder stated Robinho "strenuously denies any allegation of wrongdoing or criminality and is happy to co-operate with the police if further required".

Following Steven Gerrard's Bad Boy Bonus in December, it seems the big name international stars are now striving to achieve the prestigious award which has most often been the prize of more successful nightmare players. Despite his extra 25 points, Gerrard is the 2nd worst player so far this season with -52 points, while the additional 25 sees Robinho out of the negatives as it increases his total from -2 to 23. Down Boys and We Could Be Zero's both purchased the Brazilian at this month's January transfer day in a bid to help them get relegated so will not be delighted with the news... meaning the real winners are Lorileven who invested in him back in October.

Robinho's Bad Boy Bonus will be awarded before Week 27's update.
