Bad Boy Bonus for Richards

Michah Richards becomes the latest recipient of the coveted NightmareSoccer Bad Boy Bonus following his arrest on February 4th.

Richards was questioned by police over the alleged assault of a man in Hale, Greater Manchester. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested after an assault outside a Hale nightclub, at about 12.30am on December 24, 2008. The man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault by appointment on Wednesday February 4. He has been bailed until April 8 pending further inquiries."

Richards gains 25 points, added to his total before processing NightmareSoccer Premiership Week 30. The incident occurred before the last transfer day, and it is only teams with Richards in their Nightmare 11 at the time that gain the bonus. No managers purchased Micah in January, but this does mean that both Upadub and We Could Be Zero's gain the Bonus despite having sold the player. That's bad news for both, who are both involved in Year 3 of the unofficial relegation challenged. Zero's - the only team to achieve relegation in the first two seasons of the challenge and therefore the huge favourites to succeed in being the first to finish bottom of Albatross Division Four - now find themselves with more of a challenge than expected to go down again this season. A second Bad Boy Bonus in a matter of weeks, Richards following their new Man City player Robinho, sees Zero's up to the dizzy heights of 8th place and 96 points from the relegation zone.
