WEEK 38: JAHANBAKSH NUDGES MUPPETS CLOSER
Well at about 8 minutes past 2pm on Sunday when Man United scored against Huddersfield, it looked ominous for Oli&Luke and Keep Calm, both needing Huddersfield to keep their Nightmare scores down. By the end of the match however things were perhaps as good as the chasers could realistically have hoped - The Muppets scored the same number of points through their four Huddersfield players as Oli&Luke did with Ben Foster in goal for Watford (7). So at that stage the gap between the top two was just 11 points, as it was at the end of Saturday.

Both the top two have a Brighton boy, but while Muppets' Alireza Jahanbakhsh was back in the starting line-up, Oli&Luke's Florin Andone was dropped. The latter picked up 1 point for a late sub appearance. The 'base' score for a midfielder in a 1-1 draw (a point for playing plus a point for a goal conceded), but Jahanbaksh put in a starring performance - conceding the penalty that led to Arsenal's goal (6 points) and being taken off at half-time when Brighton were 1-0 down, therefore gaining two more points as a midfielder playing at least half the match, in which his team failed to score...

All of which means Brighton's record signing scored 10 points, and Muppets scored 9 more than Oli&Luke on the day. Neither had anyone in action on Monday night and the gap going into the final day is 20 points. Keep Calm And Mkhitaryan are 43 points off top spot and surely their hopes of taking the title are gone.
